We are looking for a Financial Specialist to join our National Real Estate team! What you will accomplish with us:   Master the Month-End Close: Lead the end-to-end month-end accounting cycle for the Real Estate portfolio, including the preparation of journal entries, accruals, and comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations. Drive Financial Integrity: Maintain a robust internal control framework and perform detailed variance analysis to ensure the accuracy of financial statements and mitigate reporting risks. Strategic CAPEX & Asset Management: Budget, track, and report on capital expenditures (CAPEX) and fixed assets, providing leadership with clear visibility into project spending, depreciation, and variances. Lead Process Innovation: Identify and implement initiatives to improve financial systems and accounting workflows, focusing on automation and efficiency. Elevate Data Analytics: Maintain and evolve Real Estate project dashboards using Power BI/Power Query to provide actionable insights to leadership. Lead financial systems and accounting processes improvement initiatives.

Professional accounting designation (CPA). Proven experience with IFRS16 is an asset. Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, IFRS accounting standards and/or finance. Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry is an asset. Proficiency in Power Query & Power Bi is an asset. Fast learner with the agility and adaptability to thrive in a changing environment. Discipline, autonomy and professionalism. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior management. Bilingualism (English and French) is essential - Need to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
