Facilities Apprentice Engineer - Aria/Vdara

THE JOB: It is the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to assist in the daily operations and activities of the maintenance engineers which they have been assigned and provide administrative and technical support as directed by department management. THE STARTING RATE: $ 23.48 USD Hourly THE DAY-TO-DAY: Maintain proactive attention to safety, including keeping work area clean and orderly, report all guest incidents and cooperate with security for a timely resolution Maintenance duties include but are not limited to carpentry, wallpaper install, tiling, flooring, painting, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment repair. Able to work with and read precision measuring devices, circuit diagrams and mechanical blueprints Provide emergency scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance of facility and equipment Detect faulty operations, defective materials and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision Identify and utilize required tools, special equipment Read and understand blueprints, including understanding the specifications for all fixtures and furniture Inventory all equipment and parts to ensure par levels are met Have an advanced understanding of emergency procedures throughout the facility and maintain a thorough understanding of hotel rules and regulations, including OSHA safety rules Operate scissor and boom lifts and climb ladders to access elevated areas such as ceilings and catwalks; drive/operate company vehicles to and from various properties Perform other job-related duties as requested THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Must be 18 years of age or older Must obtain a valid driver's license Experience in a similar position within a hotel, casino, resort, or large-scale facility environment. Background in luxury hospitality, high-end hotel operations, or gaming industry settings preferred. Experience working in a resort-style environment with a strong focus on guest service and operational excellence. Hands-on experience using industrial hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and monitoring devices.
