Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Proposal Specialist to join our team. This position is based in our Burnaby office, with opportunities for hybrid work.

Job Summary

Interfaces with business line growth team and operations to support the process of winning work. Leads responses to client RFI/RFQ/RFPs and applies standard pursuit processes to ensure efficiency in schedule and bid compliance. Responsible for print, electronic and oral proposal deliverables. Provides market research and competitive intelligence and leverages data systems and tools to support proposal strategy and business strategic planning efforts.

Major Responsibilities

Assists with large proposals and able to lead small to medium proposals (cross regions or business lines), and supports from capture through to interview stage, as required. Coordinates content and information for qualifications and proposals, including schedule, templates, compliance, content plan and production. Provides conceptual leadership for document design. May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections for proposals. May facilitate color review (Pink and Red team) reviews, and apply lessons learned to add value to proposals. Manages the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams. Participates in go/no-go and greenlight analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposal. Completes internal debriefs for proposals they lead and reviews debriefs and reviews client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvement. Complete training on the bid searching process (including, but not limited to, learning bid search sites, distribution lists and tracking sheets) to act in a supporting role to the Canada West bid search person for vacation and/or sick time periods. Has solid working knowledge of company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory). Liaises with appropriate/relevant business line team, operations, technical, and business development professionals to support or develop marketing information (including but not limited to case studies/project sheets and capabilities summaries). Provides guidance to entry level proposal team members Performs a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
