Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, collaborating across disciplines, and bringing innovative products from concept to commercialization?  At Altria, you'll have the opportunity to play a key role in developing next-generation oral pouch products that meet consumer needs while maintaining the highest standards of quality, performance, and regulatory compliance.   We are seeking a  Product Development Scientist (Principal Scientist I) to lead the development of innovative oral pouch formulations and product designs while supporting the commercialization, optimization, and long-term success of our product portfolio. This position is a  hybrid work position located in Richmond,VA  that supports Product Development Lifecyle, must be flexible to adjusted schedule when need.    What you will be doing:

Lead the development, scale-up, and quality stewardship of innovative oral pouch products from concept through commercialization. Translate consumer insights, business objectives, and regulatory requirements into successful product solutions. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver manufacturing-ready products, including material qualification, process development, and production readiness activities. Collaborate with global partners, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to support product testing and international commercialization efforts. Adapt product formulations and manufacturing processes to meet the needs of diverse global markets, considering regional consumer preferences, regulations, and supply chain requirements.
