Job Description
We are looking for someone who takes ownership, asks good questions, and is comfortable speaking up when quality or customer risk is involved. In this role, you will be relied on to verify product and process conformance, support containment decisions, and help create a culture where doing the right thing for the customer is part of daily work. ROLE PURPOSE: Audit the quality processes and in-process product quality as well as quality confirmation of completed manufactured plastic products to ensure compliance with Automated Packaging Systems’ specifications and customer requirements Pay: $23.00 Shift: Night PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Perform Process Audits in Plant Manufacturing Departments. Inspections to be completed based upon directed risk approach and manufacturing performance. Responsible for executing Dispositions, consulting with QA and Op supervisor where required, Impound material per requirements. Perform audits of finished product from the Manufacturing Departments for conformance of quality requirements. Assist in the training of new employees and refresher training of current staff. Assist in the investigation of customer complaints to resolve issues pertaining to quality and to satisfy customer needs. Audit the quality process to ensure conformance to established quality-related procedures. Complete all paperwork, reports, and filing associated with the performance of the role to affirm that audit and test results are accurately documented, organized, and filed. Ability to train for and conduct internal ISO and food safety audits and support external audits as needed. Participate in our Continuous Improvement program including the support of six sigma and defect improvement teams throughout the plant. Maintain retain process and log into the database Approval of medical clean process Serve as back up to other Quality positions during times of vacations, illness, etc. Proactively communicate issues or concerns with QA Lead and Supervisor
Qualifications
Preferred three years minimum working knowledge of APS manufacturing processes. Competency in Smart Factory/SAP. Knowledge of and familiarity with APS product specifications. Must have a demonstrated knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Power Point, Access, and Excel. Effective interpersonal communication skills. Expected to work as a Team member to protect the Customer from nonconforming material. Expected to be a shop floor leader in helping production fully understand our customers’ quality demands.
