Job Overview
This position is for a Lead Product Manager within the Performance Materials business in TE Connectivity’s Automotive Business Unit. The role is responsible for the global Heat Shrink Tubing portfolio, driving product strategy, portfolio performance, innovation, and profitable growth. The Lead Product Manager will lead a global team of Product Managers and Product Specialists while working closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing to execute business objectives and support customer growth. This individual will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the portfolio, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring alignment between customer needs and product strategy. The preferred location for this position is Bensheim, Germany, or within commuting distance, with an expectation of being onsite 2–3 days per week. Exceptional remote candidates may be considered. Responsibilities:
Portfolio Strategy & Business Leadership
Develop and execute the global strategy for the Heat Shrink Tubing portfolio. Drive revenue growth, profitability, portfolio optimization, and market expansion initiatives. Own product lifecycle management, including new product development, portfolio rationalization, and investment prioritization. Lead annual operating plan development and support long-term business planning. Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities. Represent the Performance Materials business, including Seals and EMI Shielding, in key EMIA business processes such as annual strategic planning, S&OP, market sizing (TAM), and regional growth initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop a global team of Product Managers and Product Specialists. Establish priorities, performance objectives, and development plans for team members. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
Customer & Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Sales and key customers to support strategic growth opportunities and business development activities. Collaborate with Engineering and R&D to define product roadmaps and innovation priorities. Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing to ensure successful execution of portfolio strategies. Represent the Heat Shrink Tubing business in
