Job Summary

The Senior Engineering Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of capital and engineering projects at the Naucalpan Plant. This role is responsible for managing project scope, investment, timelines, engineering resources, contractors, suppliers, and internal controls while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and according to established engineering standards. The individual will also lead a team of approximately two to three Project Managers, providing direction, coaching, and technical oversight across multiple initiatives. Success in this position requires strong project management expertise, an engineering background, excellent communication skills, and a highly organized and control-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of capital and engineering projects. Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables from initial concept through implementation. Develop and monitor project plans using project management tools and methodologies, including critical-path analysis, Gantt charts, milestones, and resource planning. Lead and develop a team of approximately two to three Project Managers, providing coaching, technical guidance, and performance support. Coordinate conceptual engineering, detailed engineering, construction engineering, equipment installation, commissioning, and project closeout activities. Manage capital expenditures, purchase orders, project documentation, contractor payments, and supplier execution. Partner with internal teams, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and external suppliers to ensure alignment and timely project delivery. Oversee contractor activities related to equipment installation, construction, plant modifications, and other engineering work. Ensure project documentation, financial records, approvals, and controls remain accurate, organized, audit-ready, and compliant with internal-control requirements. Communicate project progress, risks, decisions, financial status, and resource needs clearly to plant leadership and other stakeholders. Apply engineering knowledge across automation, controls, instrumentation, electrical power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing equipment. Support equipment inspections and validation activities at supplier locations when required. Ensure projects comply with applicable safety, quality, engineering, and regulatory requirements. Travel occasionally to supplier or manufacturing locations to support equipment acceptance and project execution activities. Job Qualifications Top Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related engineering discipline. Demonstrated experience managing complex engineering and capital projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of project management principles, including project scheduling, critical-path management, Gantt charts, budget management, risk management, and resource allocation.
