Job Overview
Leads small and medium sized projects and develops product families. Job Requirements
Responsible for the electromagnetic and structural design of DC contactors or relay as a new product development engineer. Release 2D/3D drawings and perform DFMEA/tolerance analysis/testing report. Hold design review meeting with team members. Build prototype samples and perform validation. Provide technical support to the Operations team, including Quality and Production, for efficiency improvement and safe launch. Execute technical documentation to fully detail design drawings and requirements, engineering and product change notices, and design history files. Resolve product-related issues to closure and manage the ECN/PCN (Engineering Change Notification/ Product Change Notification). Provide technical support to customers, sales, PM, and plant teams. Conduct necessary DFMEA, tests, engineering analysis, troubleshooting, shooting, and verification. Analyze competitive products and driving internal & competing IP positions Make the engineering evaluation/proposal to the customer. What your background should look like
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering;
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in relay or contactor design Proficient in 3D CAD tools, Creo preferred. Proficient in relay or contactor structure design, including coil system(magnetic circuit)and contact system, arc extinguishing system. Proficient in safety standard of GB/T14048.1, GB/T21711.1, IEC61810-1, UL 60947-1. Proficient in relay or contactor reliability tests and failure analysis. Proficient with data analysis techniques, appreciation for design geometry tolerance impacts. Experience with solar inverter, BESS or data center applications. Ability to basic communication in English (oral and written), fluent in English preferred. Ability to work in a global environment – able to accommodate varying time zones and capable of collaborating with individuals across geographies. Pro-active in identifying complex situations, providing solutions, and driving improvements to evolving procedures.
Experience writing technical papers and presenting to BU-level organizations, and critical customer contacts. Competencies
