Optum is looking for a Data Analytics Consultant to support marketing analytics, forecasting, reporting, and dashboard automation. This role will work with business, marketing, and technology teams to turn data into clear insights, improve reporting processes, and help stakeholders make informed decisions.

Collect, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to support business reporting and decision-making Create clear insights on campaign performance, member/customer behavior, trends, drivers, and key business metrics Build and maintain dashboards, recurring reports, and executive-ready views using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools Support forecasting and performance tracking using statistical and analytical techniques Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable analytics solutions. Automate manual reporting processes and improve data quality, consistency, and efficiency Prepare simple, actionable summaries and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences Follow enterprise data governance, privacy, and security standards while handling business data Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, marketing analytics, or reporting Solid SQL skills and experience working with large datasets Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization and reporting tools Good understanding of KPIs, campaign measurement, trend analysis, and forecasting concepts Proven solid communication skills with the ability to explain data insights in a simple and practical way Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate across teams Preferred Qualifications: Experience with marketing, healthcare, digital, or customer/member analytics Experience with Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, GitHub, or similar modern data platforms Working knowledge of Python, R, or similar analytical tools Proven exposure to Adobe Analytics, customer journey data, or campaign platforms Proven interest in using AI and automation to improve analytics delivery and reporting efficiency At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
