ExxonMobil in Malaysia In Malaysia, we host a global business and technology center in Kuala Lumpur that provides high-level information technology and engineering expertise to ExxonMobil’s Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses worldwide. In the upstream, we have interests in two Production Sharing Contracts with PETRONAS, while in the Product Solutions business, we supply a portfolio of specialty chemical products to the marketplace.
What role you will play in the team
You will be an integral part of our engineering team providing technical insights and support to ExxonMobil’s manufacturing facilities globally, encompassing refineries and chemical plants Placements are available in various disciplines listed subject to business needs. Position is based in Kuala Lumpur
What you will do
Manufacturing Process Engineer
As an extended member of the site technical team, you will provide high frequency and long term process unit monitoring and analysis for ExxonMobil’s global manufacturing facilities Utilize advanced analytical tools to provide technical insights, recommendations, and drive optimization opportunities Perform high level business stewardship activities including energy utilization, material balance, and unit improvement opportunity analysis
Manufacturing Application / Process Control Engineer
Develop and implement basic regulatory and advanced control applications Improve abnormal event detection capability and alarm management Provide technical support to refineries, chemical plants, and upstream facilities on base advanced control applications
Model Performance Analytics Engineer
Develops, deploys, and sustain tools used for PIMS model validation globally Performs validation analysis of PIMS sub-model health together with manufacturing site technical team Utilize techniques and tools to produce fit for purpose high quality models
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering Excellent academic track record <3 years of relevant work experience encouraged to apply Ability to work in a multi-cultural global team Be able to demonstrate the following:
Intellectual rigor, strong drive, and desire to lead change Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively Innovative and analytical thinking
