Job Summary
The Research & Development position is a critical role supporting the sustainment of Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces (RSADF) systems. The role focuses on solving mechanical and hydraulic issues, improving maintenance procedures, developing local repair solutions, providing technical studies and recommendations, and supporting system improvements and workshops as needed. This position requires a security clearance from the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces.
What You Will Do
Find solutions to mechanical and hydraulic equipment problems. Analyze information about parts to be repaired from weaponry systems (in workshops/field units) to identify the possibility of self-manufacturing the parts. Apply mechanical engineering theories, such as calculations, designs, drawings, and documentation, to identify solutions. Find possible ways to improve the effectiveness of maintenance and repair procedures. Submit the results of technical studies to the department director, including recommendations for solutions and the application of appropriate procedures. Study and analyze technical problems in various mechanical and hydraulic fields of Air Defense Forces systems. Find solutions to problems in repairing mechanical and hydraulic parts in base workshops or field units. Study the possibility of modifying or developing one of the sub-systems of the Air Defense Forces' systems. Prepare engineering drawings and designs, specifying specifications for parts so they can be purchased or manufactured locally. Provide engineering recommendations and advice related to mechanical and hydraulic problems faced by repair shops or units. Prepare technical bulletins to avoid and correct errors and improve performance. Support MTSD workshops with the necessary technical consultations. Complete any work assigned by the Director of the Center for Research and Applied Engineering.
Qualifications
You Must Have: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. Preferably the degree is accredited from the Saudi Council of Engineers. Minimum of four (5) years prior experience in the field of mechanical engineering and research. Proficient in spoken and written English Proficient in the use of computers Experience in writing technical reports Able to use mechanical design programs such as Solid Work or CATIA or AUTO CAD.
