About the job

This position is needed to build and deliver Voice and Video functionalities to our customers through the Android SDKs. Programmable Voice and Video are few of Twilio’s foundational channels that empower our customers and internal product team to build delightful solutions. The features you deliver will be used by thousands of customers at scale, often as their business’ lifeline. Use cases range from contact centers to healthcare services, from warehouse staff to client advisors

In this role, you'll

• Own the Android SDK architecture, implementation, and long-term technical direction

• Own the Android SDKs’ technical backlog and architectural roadmap

• Lead development and maintenance of the Android Voice and Video SDKs, including the underlying WebRTC/ReSiprocate/C++ layer

• Drive build pipeline stability and participate in CI/CD migration efforts

• Define Android best practices and serve as the go-to resource for Android-specific guidance across the organization

• Collaborate with iOS, JavaScript, and React Native SDK teams to align on cross-platform convergence efforts

• Conduct thorough code reviews and hold the bar on quality, correctness, and test coverage

• Partner with product and platform leads to evaluate feasibility, estimate effort, and deliver on roadmap commitments

• Contribute to knowledge sharing and documentation to reduce single points of failure on the team.

• Continuously adapt to the evolving Android ecosystem to maximize engineering efficiency

• Enhance automated tests with high level code coverage

• Own Twilio’s customer’s developer experience

• Monitor and triage customer issues and Git repo issues

• Enhance Twilio Voice and Video Android reference apps
