JOB DESCRIPTION
America Reports is looking for a talented, organized, and motivated Associate Producer with strong news judgment and a genuine passion for politics and breaking news. In this role, you'll work closely with the show's anchors and producers to write compelling scripts, produce editorial content, and help shape daily coverage. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, communicates effectively, and has the drive to win. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Pitch, develop, and produce original story ideas Monitor live events and breaking news, identifying key developments and communicating updates to the team Perform research, find, cut, and produce elements, and write scripts as needed Coordinate daily story development with show team WHAT YOU WILL NEED Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience Experience in television news production Strong editorial judgment with a solid understanding of national and international news and politics A self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly during breaking news Familiarity with iNews, Dalet, and VIZ preferred #LI-KC1 We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $67,000.00-75,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
