About this role
Build the Path Forward
At Path Robotics, we’re building the future of embodied intelligence. Our AI-driven systems enable robots to adapt, learn, and perform in the real world closing the skilled labor gap and transforming industries. We go beyond traditional methods, combining perception, reasoning, and control to deliver field-ready AI that is risk-aware, reliable, and continuously improving through real-world use.
Big, hard problems are our everyday work, and our team of intelligent, humble, and driven people make the impossible possible together.
We're seeking a Fabricator to support the development of our robotic welding systems by producing high-quality welded test coupons and fabricated assemblies. This role is critical to enabling our engineering teams to validate new welding processes, train machine learning models, and develop next-generation robotic welding capabilities.
What You'll Do
• Fabricate tack-welded test assemblies for engineering validation, product development, and machine learning data collection, culminating in robotic welding cell processing
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, work instructions, and fabrication specifications.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, beveling, and fixturing components prior to welding.
• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and other production materials while maintaining consistent weld quality.
• Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet dimensional and visual quality standards.
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, band saws, and other shop tools safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with Welding Engineers to execute experimental weld procedures and document results.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe fabrication workspace while following all company safety procedures.
• Assist with fixture modifications, prototype builds, and general fabrication projects as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve fabrication processes and efficiency.
Who You Are
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in welding or fabrication preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in welding, fabrication, or metal manufacturing.
• Proficient in MIG welding with the ability to consistently produce high-quality welds.
• Experience reading blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols.
• Comfortable using common fabrication equipment and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and repeatability.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers and technicians.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and working in a manufacturing environment.
Why You'll Love Working Here
• Daily free lunch to keep you fueled and connected with the team
• Flexible PTO so you can take the time you need, when you need it
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
• 6 weeks fully paid parental leave, plus an additional 6–8 weeks for birthing parents (12–14 weeks total)
• 401(k) retirement plan through Empower
• Generous employee referral bonuses—help us grow our team!
