Job Description
Job Purpose Develop, integrate and monitor the project schedule for transmission line, substation and HVDC packages and provide early warning of schedule deviations, resource constraints and milestone risks.
Key Responsibilities
Review the contractor's work breakdown structure and Level 1 to Level 4 schedules. Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover. Validate activity logic, durations, calendars, constraints, milestones and resource loading. Establish progress measurement methodology aligned with BOQ, Schedule of Values and contractual milestones. Prepare planned versus actual S-curves, resource histograms, look-ahead schedules and milestone trackers. Monitor critical and near-critical activities and identify emerging schedule risks. Review weekly, monthly and three-month look-ahead schedules submitted by contractors. Verify reported physical progress through site records and coordination with field teams. Analyse schedule slippage and recommend corrective, recovery and acceleration measures. Support evaluation of extension-of-time claims through delay-event chronology and schedule-impact analysis. Track engineering submissions, approvals, manufacturing, dispatch, site receipt and installation of long-lead equipment. Integrate transmission line section schedules with substation, bay, control, telecom and energization interfaces. Maintain schedule-related assumptions, constraints, risk items and delay registers. Prepare management dashboards and schedule narratives for periodic progress reports. Support invoice certification by verifying achievement of schedule-linked milestones. Qualifications
Minimum Qualification and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent. Minimum 8 years of experience in planning and scheduling of power infrastructure projects. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or approved project-planning software. Experience in EHV transmission line and substation construction schedules. Knowledge of critical path analysis, delay analysis, progress measurement and earned-value principles.
Additional Information
The position will be site-based at Khavda or Surat and may require travel between project locations, contractor offices, manufacturing facilities and client offices. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary AECOM Energy team supporting the safe and successful delivery of major HVDC and transmission infrastructure projects.
