Job Description

AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Superintendent for our construction project in Sacramento, CA.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Superintendent in managing daily field operations for a high-rise project from ground-up through completion Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and field staff to ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with plans and specifications Enforce jobsite safety in compliance with Cal/OSHA regulations and company policies Monitor work progress, identify potential delays, and help implement corrective actions Assist with site logistics, material deliveries, and equipment coordination Maintain daily reports, field logs, and documentation Participate in subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and coordination meetings Help manage inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities Qualifications Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of commercial construction experience or demonstrated of equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

6 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably on high-rise or multi-story projects Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and building systems Familiarity with California building codes and safety regulations Experience coordinating multiple trades in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) OSHA 10 Physical Demands: The following physical demands represent those typically required of individuals working in construction field roles, with or without accommodation. Construction field positions require physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to climb ladders and stairs, use personnel hoists, and move through various terrain and active construction zones. Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
