Job Overview
Prepares moderate to complex global income or non-income taxes to include tax accounting and reporting, transfer pricing, and/or tax audit related matters. Job Responsibilities:
GST Compliance & Operations
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Return, etc.). Manage GST payments and compliance reporting. Reconcile:
GSTR-2B vs ITC Register ITC Register vs General Ledger
Follow up on GST mismatches with stakeholders. Address internal and external GST-related queries. Support statutory and internal audits.
Tax Process & Technical Support
Support SAP and S/4HANA testing activities, including SD logic. Coordinate with tax authorities on GST audits (including Section 65 audits) and respond to the notices. Research complex tax issues and recommend solutions. Litigation management
Training & Leadership
Conduct GST training sessions and regulatory update sessions. Mentor junior indirect tax team members. Train stakeholders across FSC, Customer Service, Master Data, Controlling, and other functions. Lead calls and presentations with international stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
Support standardization initiatives. Identify and drive process improvement opportunities. Collaborate closely with Controlling, TEIS, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report teams. Pro-actively seek for process improvements within Operations, working closely with the concern teams Desired Candidate Profile:
Strong knowledge of
SAP FI/SD modules GST compliance, regulations, and processes Accounting principles Advanced Excel and analytical skills Presentation and training delivery English communication (written and spoken)
Personal Skills
8-10 years of experience in indirect taxation or a related field, preferably within a multinational manufacturing environment. Minimum 6-8 years of experience in the manufacturing industry with exposure to GST compliance and tax operations. Strong working knowledge of GST laws, regulations, compliance processes, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in supporting projects and meeting challenging deadlines. Works closely with the Manager, Indirect Tax Processes EMEIA, providing proactive support on operational and strategic tax initiatives. Builds and maintains an effective
