Learn more about AOX at https://www.northropgrumman.com/who-we-are/aoa-xinetics        Overview: Reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Manager, the Manufacturing Materials Processing Technician 2 performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies for our casted (Ceraform) and 3D Printed (Ceraprint) Silicon Carbide optics and mechanical structures. The Manufacturing Materials Processing Technician will use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. They will determine and assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. The Manufacturing Materials Processing Technician works with engineers in conducting experiments. In this job, you will: Perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations in ceramics fabrication.  Handling and managing fragile ceramic materials  Weighing and mixing raw materials         Preparing ceramic materials for firing in a furnace Perform filing, grinding of ceramic materials Assist with maintaining furnaces and processing equipment Read and follow drawings, documentation and other instructions with strict adherence
