The Sr. Specialist, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for supporting category management and strategic sourcing initiatives through supply market analysis, supplier identification, RFx execution, supplier bid evaluation, sourcing analytics, negotiation support, contract support, and supplier relationship management. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, operations, quality, production, finance, and legal to help identify qualified suppliers, evaluate sourcing options, develop insights, and drive value across L3Harris. The ideal candidate will bring experience in sourcing or procurement within a complex business environment and demonstrate the ability to analyze supplier data, assess market conditions, support sourcing strategy execution, and contribute to enterprise sourcing objectives. Additionally, this position demands excellent interpersonal skills to influence change across Segments and Programs. This role will report to the Sr. Manager of Strategic Sourcing as part of the Corporate Direct Category Management Team. Our strategic supply chain organization focuses on leveraging the company’s scale and deploying best practices to achieve best possible quality, technology, cost and delivery for our customers. Essential Functions: Support supply market analysis and initial supplier identification for assigned categories and sourcing initiatives. Conduct market research and provide input on supply and demand conditions, supplier capabilities, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies. Prepare, issue, and manage RFx events; coordinate supplier communications and follow-up to ensure understanding of business and technical requirements. Analyze supplier responses, including pricing, commercial structures, and qualitative inputs, and prepare bid evaluation materials for category and business leadership. Perform reporting, data analysis, and scenario modeling to support supplier selection and sourcing recommendations. Manipulate and summarize bid and supplier data to identify trends, risks, cost drivers, and potential award scenarios. Support the development and execution of category strategies for assigned commodities or spend areas. Provide input to sourcing strategies and processes in alignment with category objectives and enterprise requirements. Support sourcing levers including supplier rationalization, direct negotiations, make-versus-buy analysis, vendor-managed inventory programs, inventory reduction initiatives, and rebate opportunities. Apply procurement analytics and sourcing tools to support negotiations and sourcing decisions, including should-cost methods, price analysis, scenario planning, benchmarking, and eSourcing tools as applicable. Assess supplier capacity, lead times, capabilities, and competitive positioning to support sourcing and supplier management decisions.
