As a Finance & Business Operations (FBO) Financial Analyst II / Senior at APS, you provide the financial insights that help leaders make informed business decisions. Through budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and operational reporting, you help ensure resources are used effectively and business goals are achieved. Your work supports APS's ability to deliver reliable energy service while maintaining a strong financial foundation for the customers and communities we serve. What Your Day Would Be Like:
Analyze financial and operational data to help business leaders make informed decisions and achieve strategic objectives. Support the development of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans that align with business priorities. Monitor financial performance, identify trends and variances, and provide insights on key business drivers. Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and dashboards that support operational and financial decision-making. Partner with business units on planning initiatives and provide financial guidance on projects and operational activities. Communicate financial results and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and meaningful way.
Who We're Looking For
Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business performance evaluation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful insights. Knowledge of financial modeling, cash flow analysis, variance analysis, and operational reporting. Ability to build relationships and collaborate with business partners across the organization. Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences. Detail-oriented professional who takes initiative and is committed to continuous improvement and delivering value.
Minimum Requirements
Finance & Business Operations (FBO) Financial Analyst II
Bachelors' degree in finance, accounting economics, mathematics or related field AND two (2) years directly related financial analysis, data analytics or business operation or experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Knowledge of finance and economic analysis, business operations, or business planning. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) desirable. Strong research, data management and effective communication skills a must. Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) and database tools.

Bachelors' degree in finance, accounting economics, mathematics or related field AND five (5) years' related experience in financial analysis or in a financial, data analytics, or business operations related position in the utility or energy services industry Comprehensive knowledge of finance and economic analysis, business operations, or business planning. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong research, data management and effective management communication skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) and database tools.
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications
MBA or Master's degree preferred. Working knowledge of related analytical, financial, database, and/or business operations tools (i.e. Cognos, PowerPlant, Hyperion, Maximo, supply chain and inventory systems).
