Risk Analyst - Strategy & Capabilities

We are seeking a Risk Analyst - Strategy & Capabilities as part of the FinTech Risk team in Bangalore! You will work with other data analysts, operations managers, operational risk leads and other leaders to help define, implement, maintain robust processes and best practices across all the financial products at Toast. Understanding of operational quality assurance concepts and practices, critical thinking, and a process centric and data driven mindset is key to success in this role.

A day in the life (Responsibilities)

As Toast is expanding its FinTech Risk business, there are various new products and financial services on the horizon for the organization to support our community. The responsibilities for this role include:

• Operate as a first line of defense on all operational aspects of the business

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze processes and identify opportunities for streamlining and efficiency improvements.

• Develop and implement risk strategies, methodologies, and best practices to optimize operations.

• Analyzing holistic strategy and coding, Implementing and iterating changes continuously.

• Provide recommendations for process enhancements and workflow automation to minimize errors and increase productivity.

• Maintain effective communication with operational teams, compliance, and management on findings and implementing corrective actions

• Implement industry best practices in process design, monitoring and reporting

What you'll need to thrive (Requirements)

• Any Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 7 to 8 years of experience as a risk analyst

• Proficient expertise in SQL/Python/Snowflake/Excel/G-Suite (basic coding and reporting on SQL mandatory and preferably Python).

• Passionate about building robust and scalable processes and automation.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and discrepancies.

• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts.

• This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the Bangalore office.
