Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Material Handler Team Lead - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $25 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: The Material Handler Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of materials throughout production operations. This role combines hands-on material handling responsibilities with team leadership duties, including employee training, shift coordination, and operational support. In this function you will: • Lead and support a team of Material Handlers to maintain safe and efficient operations. • Train and onboard new team members on work procedures, processes, and safety requirements. • Safely operate forklifts, Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs), cranes, and other material-handling equipment. • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. • Respond promptly to urgent material requests from supervisors and production personnel. • Partner with planners and internal departments to locate missing materials, resolve delivery discrepancies, and replace damaged products. • Provide coverage and support across all SCM material-handling functions as needed. • Verify incoming shipments for accuracy, including quantity and condition of materials received. • Label, store, and track materials accurately within inventory systems and designated storage locations. • Collect and return cycled Kanban cards to the appropriate planner. • Replenish Point-of-Use (POU) locations to support production requirements. • Consolidate partial pallets to optimize storage space and maintain material flow. • Collect and return reusable totes to the receiving area. • Deliver finished materials to designated production lines and drop zones, including ATS, MVD, MVC, LVA, OEM, El Paso, and AVC. • Unload steel and copper shipments and move materials to designated storage areas. • Store copper materials in cantilever racks or assigned floor locations. • Band runners and load them onto steel trucks for return shipment. • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with additional warehouse and supply chain activities as required. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. • Associate degree (2-year) or minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience. • Ability to obtain and maintain required Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certifications. • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Preferred Qualifications • Crane certification, or ability to obtain certification. • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and general computer skills. • Flexibility to work overtime, including weekdays and weekends, as business needs require. • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
