Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Sales and Marketing Teams are responsible for the sales and marketing of TE's products, systems or services including sales oriented activities, market development and communications.
Responsible and accountable for delivering the annual growth plans in regard to the specific customer as well as further defining the account specific tactic under consideration of customer’s and TE’s strategies. Assess and qualify new business opportunities and manage and provide new product streams. Responsible to create the long-term strategy, develop, implement and execute plans for advancing the company’s products to meet the customer’s specific demands. Conduct market research to identify trends and needs of target customers, analyze and compare competitors’ product lines in relation to TE’s current offerings to develop strategies for competitive positioning to increase sales and promotions. Communicate results (monthly billing review, monthly rolling F/cast and market project highlights) as well as needs to direct supervisor. Identify application areas where TE does not have a dominating position and define account coverage and product requirements. Lead and develop customer focus team; especially manage the team of direct reports via goal setting and identify needs for training, coaching, and facilitation. Responsible for preparation of financial justifications and presentation, quotations and negotiations of specific projects as well as pricing of existing business with special focus of profitability and contracting with customers. Pivotal Experience & Expertise * Automotive Experience: Demonstrated track record with an automotive Tier 1, or Tier 2 supplier. * Knowledge of Key Accounts and Sales Experience: Seasoned commercial leader with 5-10 years of sales/account management experience and strong contacts with key accounts. * Knowledge of product development life cycle: Ability to adopt the right methodology in each development phase and identify key activities and deliverables toward launching new or enhanced products on the market. * Language: Japanese language at Native level, and business level in English.
