Job Description
Division Overview: Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. Location: Sugar Land, Tx Job Summary The PMR Technician is responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance and repair activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This role conducts inspections, diagnoses mechanical and electrical issues, and performs corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. The technician maintains detailed maintenance records, follows established safety and quality procedures, and collaborates closely with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement. Strong troubleshooting skills, technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnace ovens, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools. Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks and tractors, to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery. Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions. Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts. Operate machine tools, such as grinders and presses, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery. Must have technical writing abilities to help create JHA’s, Work procedures, SOP’S, Best practices and assist in work order procedures changes. Must ensure that you are fully capable of using e-maintenance to accurately complete preventative maintenance tasks. Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge of computerized machinery Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications. Ability to visualize a layout by looking at plans. Good verbal communication skills Ability to work to exacting standards. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity Ability to work at heights or in cramped spaces. Safety awareness and a responsible work attitude Mathematical and mechanical ability An analytical approach to problem-solving Nights and weekends are a must. Must be willing to be on call 24/7. Ability to read precise measuring instruments. Ability to work without supervision at times.
Work Environment
